**Leasing** means paying a monthly fee to drive a new car for a fixed period (usually 2-3 years). You return it at the end; no ownership. Lower monthly payments, warranty coverage, and access to the latest models are big perks.

**Buying** means financing or paying cash for a vehicle you own outright. Higher monthly payments initially, but you build equity, keep the car as long as you want, and there's no mileage limit.
